TOOLZ THROWBACK HAIR PIC

Toolz posted this picture & announced that she misses this hair. Guess what? We miss it too.
We ask, can there ever be a Toolz like this ever again? We think not. And to be honest, we would rather move forward than go back wards. Way to go Toolz!

SOLANGE'S DREAMCATCHER HAIR

I heard Solange spent 40 hours making this 'Dreamcatcher' hairstyle for her performance at the SNL.
In getting the hair ready for the Saturday Night, let's calculate: how many 24hrs are in 40hrs... So it means she's been sitting down making that hair since early Friday Morning. Wow!
Can you beat that?
Anyways this is reminiscent of my old 'Identity' hairstyles, right? I remember that's how I used to sit all day long making my hair. Ha!
it also reminds me of Cutest Chidinma's new hairstyle..

WOULD YOU DO THIS?

Or better still: would you do this on your kids?

EVERYDAY FASHION ESSENTIAL THINGS FOR WOMEN - Selina Haller

Much like furnishing a new house and building a solid wardrobe can be both costly and daunting. We all know the economy is what it is. Day after day, event after event, we constantly find ourselves investing in more modernized items that many of us come to struggle with. I have included a super budget-friendly item to get you by.

1) WITH A SKECHERS TOUCH
Don't get me wrong, but sometimes I think girls go overboard at the price of being cute. That brings me to this. I saw an Ankara skirt I hadn't worn in like forever. It hit me, the lifestyle Skechers that I had, actually had purple laces which matched perfectly with my skirt. I went with a simple plain vest, a little grey cardigan and finally a bowler hat to complete my look. And that ladies and gents are simply how you look effortlessly chic! This is definitely one of those looks anyone can pull off over the weekend and still remain chic yet comfortable so hey, now you know more than one way to pair your Skechers.

2) CASUAL FRIDAY
There's just something about Friday that gets me feeling some type of way whether I'm in school, holiday or working because Friday is just Friday! And my mind is bound to shut down by midday. Anyone relating to this? Being a Friday of course my outfit had to match my mood hence casual Friday. For me, nothing screams casual more than tights with a hint of formal wear. Usually, I'd pick denim over tights especially for a workplace environment but this weather dictates otherwise. It's like 100 degrees out here and to be honest, denim is the last thing on my mind right now. Today, I'm going for tights, and half tucked in chiffon top(just to make it less ordinary) a blazer, silver box clutch, and some gorgeous strappy sandal heels because of the outfit just needed heels.

3) PAULINE COSMETICS: BUSUMATE REVIEW
I sometimes feel like my mantra in life could be All you need in life is some good lipstick you can conquer the world'. Let's talk about lipstick. On any day, you're highly likely to find me in Matte lipstick. Main reason being, I don't need to touch it up all day. I mean, we live in an extremely busy hectic world and the last thing on your mind is the thought of constantly touching up your lipstick every now and then. Unfortunately, in as much as Matte lipstick does the job, it could get a bit drying. In fact, I'm well aware that Matte lippies aren't everyone's cup of tea. So when I got my hands one the Pauline Cosmetics Busumate range, creamy and moist is exactly what every girl needs on some days! I have been wearing different shades of the Busumate Collection on a daily since I got my hands on them and I absolutely love it so far so good. The fact that I can literally have it on for around 12 hours without feeling the need to overly moisturize my lips overnight, is a win for me. The creamy texture with Shea butter feels amazing on my lips. I would definitely recommend this collection to anyone who loves a good long wear lipstick.

4) HAIR EXTENSIONS
Brazilian Hair Extensions are more popular and commonly used all over the world. Many women want long luscious hair that would make them look good and more comfortable on their own skin colour. It is easy to buy Clip In Hair Extensions which you can perfectly attach them and remove as well at home. There are other hair extensions which you can be fitted easily at the salons but there are a number of supplies that are used that one needs to invest.

Some of the supplies are:
-Heat Protection spray: Used for straightening or curling the hair extension as well as blow drying.
-Spare hair extensions clips: Ideal for clip-in hair extensions as the clips may become loose or even break
-Micro Rings: They are metal rings that attach the hair extensions to the natural hair. Pliers are needed to tighten the rings.
-Hair extension pliers: they are used to close the metal rings that attach the hair extensions to the natural hair.
-Bonding glue and remover: They are used to attach hair extensions as well as removing them from the natural hair.
-Leave in conditioner: It adds softness and shiny appearance to the hair and ensures it to remain at a good state.
-Soft bristle brush: Used to brush the hair extension and make it look silky.

Be confident and unique in your own style. Never try to be like someone else because everybody is different out there. Chose your own style and rock it till you make it. Never choose pricey. Be basic but still simple.

MANE THING WITH STELLA DAMASUS

I stumbled on an Instagram post that totally changed my thought process this morning. This post not only motivated me but really boosted my confidence.
It was written by my friend and sister, the most productive business woman I know. She is the MD/CEO of HAIR GLAMOUR INTERNATIONAL. She has always been known for amazing quality, not only for the human hair that she sells (which I have been a great fan of since she started her business), but quality of lifestyle and friendships.
I was so shocked to see the post because I had never seen her without her weave or wigs.

DON'T SPOIL YOUR WEAVE- MANE THING WITH STELLA DAMASUS

So I installed a custom made unit (wig) for one of my clients. It was a kinky curly human hair weave and she truly loved it.

My client rocked her unit for almost 6 months then all of a sudden she called me to say she was disappointed.

That is not a statement I am used to hearing especially when I recommend good hair and make it into a unit.

AMBER ROSE & MOM STEP OUT ROCKING MATCHING HAIRSTYLES

Ok. So Amber Rose has gone back to her original hair brand. Now she stepped out running errands with her mom in LA, with the duo rocking very similar low golden hairstyles.
Only that mom's is just slightly longer than hers, and seems to be a deeper hue. See photos..

TAME IT! MANE THING WITH STELLA DAMASUS

I was watching television on a Saturday morning and stumbled on a television program. The presenter was speaking to a black woman who was furious about an experience she had.
She was asked to tell the audience why she was so upset, and why she wanted justice.

HAIR ACCORDING TO CHRIS 'BREEZY' BROWN

Since we're on the subject, decided to visit some of Chris Brown's hair history. Enjoy...

CHRIS BROWN: WHY PINK? BY MATHEW EBEDE

So Chris Brown decided to change his hairstyle again. That's no longer news, but why?
Breezy', as he is popularly called is one smoking hot dude who can rock just about any look. But how come Pink Cornrows?
1. Could it be that there is no more space on his body to put a new tat, to spice up his life?
2. Or could it be that it might have something to do with his little girl Royalty: a salute to her once again, you know he's constantly doing stuffs to validate or, show off his love for her.
3. Or simply, his little angel picked out that fiery pink for him
For whatever reasons, these cornrows are not the typical front to back but instead are snaked across the top of his head and look super stylish.
its great that he decided to go with a color most tough guy singer/rapper would not go near. But hey, its super stylish, totally unique and 100%chris. He is owing this look like there is no tomorrow.

what do you guys think?
Breezy debuted the new look via his instagram page on july 5 wearing a hot hoodie to match the new look.

BEST BRANDS FOR AFRO KINKY CROTCHET AND BRAIDS - MANE THING WITH STELLA DAMASUS

I like to wear natural hair but the truth is, it can be really tiring.

I love hair very much as you know, but I don't have all the time in the world to do the natural hair routine everyday.

Sometimes I want to protect my own natural hair from combing and products but I also want to have the same natural look without having my hair out. So I do protective styles that still look like my hair such as, Afro kinky braids, Afro puffy twists, Afro crotchet and crotchet wigs are some of the styles I do that look like I am wearing my natural hair.

The beauty of these styles is that if done right people can barely tell that it is not all yours.

There are some brands that look very synthetic and shine unnecessarily. Sometimes it may even make you scared to go near the kitchen for fear of the hair catching fire.

I have used a lot of brands trust me, and I have found the best that I will gladly recommend to you:

  • Bijoux realistic Afro kinky bulk
  • Naffy fluffy twist hair
  • Afri naptural Afro kinky bulk
  • Janet collection Afro kinky twist hair
  • Vivica fox Afro soul kinky bulk

These are the most realistic, softest and easy to handle brands I have used.

They don't hurt my fingers when I braid or twist.

They are easy to crotchet on my hair or wig cap and I don't need to put any products on them.

I chose these ones because they are durable and can be used more than three times if properly handled.

You can curl and bring them back to the original state by combing the curls out carefully and braiding the strands.

I hope this is helpful and if you need more information please let us know.

If you have found brands that are very good and you can recommend, do not hesitate to share them with me.

AMBER ROSE & HER "MONSTER-OUS' MARYLIN

Its no news that Amber Rose recently changed her hairstyle, bringing Marilyn Monroe back to life. We are all still wondering if we like it or not. So we call it unrecognizable, but her son has an opinion.. "You look like a monster" he blurted out in a video she posted on Instagram. Amber looked visibly thrown aback by his comment, but quickly recovered.  We serve you the video, and also the pictures of the old and new Amber Rose.
