Nearly everyone knows she loves to stand out with her hairstyles. And the enthusiasm with which she spoke about her hair was enough to convince all and sundry that she's one of the many celebrity women who can do all to make a statement with their hairstyles.
This week, Hair'volution brings to you Muma as she talks about her hair experience.
What does your natural hair look like?
My hair is the darkest hair I've ever seen on earth and I was told by my doctor that it's caused by my pigment. It's amazing that even after I'd relaxed my hair for years, it's still as dark as ever. It has never turned coloured and I've maintained one relaxer since I dis-virgined my hair. But I don't get to wear my natural hair because it doesn't give that volume that I want.
So who did you take your hair after?
My mother. I also took after her curvy front head shape in addition to her dark hair.
So aside relaxing it, how do you take care of it?
Nothing. I just relax it without adding any hair treatment to it.
Do you mean you don't use hair treatment, doesn't it break?
Every woman's hair breaks and I don't panic whenever it happens because I don't even get to wear my natural hair as much. I concentrate more on the type of extensions I wear and sometimes, I wear as much as half a million worth of extension on my head.
Which type of extension do you wear?
I like Brazillian hair. But aside wearing Brazillian hair, I also braid and curl my hair. And if I must wear any extension, it must be imported from London.
I love the creativity of your hairstyles. Where do you get the ideas from?
It comes from within me. I love my hair so much and I also love to wear very long hair extensions. The name of my stylist is Elijah, he designs my hair to fit my face and any occasion I have at a particular time. Like what I have on now, it's a 33inches Brazillian natural curl. It's to the length of my buttocks. I also like to wear Mulatto Brazillian hair.
I know you are a hair freak. What's the craziest thing you've ever done to your hair?
The craziest thing was wearing blond hair and that hair was two years ago. You can imagine a dark complexioned lady wearing blond hair. Some of my friends and fans liked it while others complained. Then I sampled opinions. When I discovered that majority of my fans didn't like it, I had to remove it.
What can ever make you wear a low cut?
If I'm mourning the loss of a loved one and I see that cutting it will give me psychological satisfaction, I'll cut it. Again, if my fans want me with low cut then, I'll think about it. But as a woman, I believe that beauty is in the hair.
Can you attempt shaving it completely?
